Custom Made Golf Clubs

Why should you consider made to measure golf clubs? Think of it like this. You and your friend decide to buy a set of clubs each. One of you is 6' 3" the other 5' 5". You go together to a golf retail store. After inspecting the clubs on offer you purchase an identical set of clubs because you both find them pleasing to the eye and they suit your price range. Is it likely that these clubs will suit you both? Would you both choose to buy identical suits? - Of course not. Buying custom made clubs is the first step towards playing better golf. Confidence is a vital element. When you know that you have been fitted correctly for length, grip size, shaft flex and lie angle you are free to concentrate on swinging to obtain the best results.

Are Custom Made Clubs Expensive?

They are no more expensive than most models available in the retail store or pro shops. The real difference can only be measured in results. If you buy a set of irons say for £300.00 and find that you cant adapt to them, it's a false economy, because you will have to alter them in one way or another which will cost more money.

What Can I Expect If I Choose To Go The Custom Fit Route?

It's a very simple process which involves golfer and club maker and takes approximately one hour. In this hour we discuss the golfers handicap, playing time, frequency of play, current strengths, weaknesses and expectations. We will measure current clubs and specs for deviation throughout the set. The golfer will then be measured for length and grip size and will participate in a swing speed test to ascertain the correct shaft flex. A dynamic lie test will follow to ensure that the new clubs will be suitable.

Shaft Pureing Service

When choosing custom made clubs we strongly recommend having all shafts pured.

Since its 1999 approval by the USGA, more than 200 PGA Tour Professional Golfers can testify to the benefits of the PUREing process.

No golf shaft is perfectly round, straight or stiff throughout its length. Despite modern manufacturing techniques, every shaft made is as unique as a finger print and every shaft performs differently. By PUREing every shaft, you find the plane for assembly in which that particular shaft is the most stable for striking the ball.

Plane of Uniform Repeatability (PURE). PUREing does not rely on human judgement. It is a science that is accurate to less than one degree.
